Oregon Food Bank

Today we went on an amazing trip to the Oregon Food Bank. The students have been discussing food insecurity and the many needs of families here in Oregon and it was fun and fulfilling to give some of our time to help out members of our community in need. As a whole, the 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders packaged 4,588 pounds of rice in just under 1 hour of volunteering! This equates to 3,528 meals or 52 meals created per student volunteer--truly amazing! Thank you everyone for such amazing trip!!!
